چکیده

• Harvesting energy from light and water drops simultaneously using hidden or transparent front-electrode. Highest photovoltaic performance with surface charge transfer, lowest electrostatic induction electrode. Curved electrodes allow easy removal of drops. Energy harvesting sunlight is often done cells covered by a protective layer polymer glass. Currently, this does not have any other function than being protective, but its functionality could be improved in fact contribute to electrical the environment. This work reports new findings on integration silicon-based solar droplet device based contact electrification readily available materials. The utilizes front flat curved geometries increase power output due droplets while at same time minimizing loss cell. Three different designs are designed tested, advantages disadvantages outlined. Particular emphasis put investigating cell design that exhibited largest impact. efficiency commercial about 4.4%, whereas for it 0.6%. relative contributions two mechanisms analyzed, possible applications

Mechanisms of Light Energy Harvesting in Dendrimers and Hyperbranched Polymers

Since their earliest synthesis, much interest has arisen in the use of dendritic and structurally allied forms of polymer for light energy harvesting, especially as organic adjuncts for solar energy devices. With the facility to accommodate a proliferation of antenna chromophores, such materials can capture and channel light energy with a high degree of efficiency, each polymer unit potentially...

Highly transparent triboelectric nanogenerator for harvesting water-related energy reinforced by antireflection coating

Water-related energy is an inexhaustible and renewable energy resource in our environment, which has huge amount of energy and is not largely dictated by daytime and sunlight. The transparent characteristic plays a key role in practical applications for some devices designed for harvesting water-related energy. In this paper, a highly transparent triboelectric nanogenerator (T-TENG) was designe...

IR light harvesting with silicon microspheres - application to photovoltaic devices

Single-junction photovoltaic devices suffer from intrinsic obstacles limiting their efficiency to a top value dictated by the well-known Shockley–Queisser (SQ) limit [1]. The most fundamental limitation is given by the energy bandgap of the semiconductor, which determines the minimum energy of photons that can be converted into electron-hole pairs. In the case of silicon a large percentage of i...

Electrostrictive Polymers for Vibration Energy Harvesting

Recent progresses in microelectronics that enabled the design ultra-low consumption, fully operative electronic systems, have permitted the disposal of autonomous wireless devices ([1]). However, primary batteries, that initially promoted the development of such systems, have nowadays become a break to the spreading of long-lifetime autonomous apparatus, mainly because of their limited lifespan...
